As a SHARE Rep, you will regularly help Members find resources and think through problems together. You’re never alone: your SHARE Organizer is always there to help and support you, and find answers where they’re needed.

SHARE Reps should only accompany Members in disciplinary meetings if they have been trained to do so. If you are a SHARE Rep and would like to attend Problem Solving meetings involving HR and Management, please let your SHARE Organizer know. We will help you get support and training, and provide opportunities to shadow and learn.

CONFIDENTIALITY

SHARE Reps must be always be committed to confidentiality. (Although you may share details as you consult with the SHARE Organizing Staff for guidance about a situation.) You should talk with the SHARE member about the discretion we use as a union. Confidentiality must be maintained around formal disciplinary proceedings as well as informal conversations, except by clear agreement with the SHARE Member.
